Fannie E. Rippel Center for Women's Reproductive Cancers/Gynecologic Oncology Program
The Gynecologic Oncology Program at Rutgers Cancer Institute specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of routine, rare and complex cancers of the female reproductive system including ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, vulva cancer, and endometrial cancer. Treatment is provided by a compassionate team of highly specialized, nationally recognized professionals including gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, nurse navigators, and social workers who collaborate to ensure that each patient is cared for with an individualized approach. The Program’s multidisciplinary approach is based on an innovative, continuity of care model under which the oncologist who guides the patient through the diagnostic process also performs surgery, directs the patient's chemotherapy treatments if any are needed, and stays with the patient through the entire course of her disease.
With years of expertise, our gynecologic oncologists offer the full spectrum of therapeutic procedures and advanced treatment options including minimally invasive surgical techniques, cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), clinical trials, precision medicine, and immunotherapy.
Our physicians see patients here in New Brunswick as well as at several RWJBarnabas Health facilities including Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton.
The Program also has a full line of oncology support services available for patients including psychosocial support, nutrition, on-site pharmacy, and financial counselors.
