Pediatric Otolaryngology (ENT)
The Pediatric Otolaryngology Program, a joint initiative with The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, provides the region’s most comprehensive and advanced pediatric otolaryngology services. Our team of pediatric otolaryngologists treats children with disorders involving the ears, nose and throat with the latest medical guidelines and the most advanced surgical procedures.

Multidisciplinary Team Approach
Some children with complex otolaryngology problems may require the expertise of a variety of pediatric specialists beyond those in our Pediatric Otolaryngology Program. For situations requiring a multidisciplinary approach, we offer a wealth of experience in every pediatric field, including anesthesiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, oncology, and neurosurgery. Your child will be treated by health care professionals with experience in managing the unique health care needs of children. The experience is designed to minimize stress for children as well as their parents.

The Aerodigestive Center cares for children with complex airway, pulmonary, upper digestive tract, and feeding disorders. Our team of gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, speech/language pathologists, and otolaryngologists combine their specialty knowledge to offer your child the best possible outcome for his or her condition.
Ancillary services provided at The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at RWJUH as part of the Pediatric Otolaryngology Program include audiology and speech and language pathology.
Licensed or certified pediatric audiologists provide hearing and audiologic services for infants and children of all ages and developmental levels. Services provided include:
Newborn hearing screening
Comprehensive audiologic evaluations
Auditory brainstem response (ABR) evaluation—sedated and unsedated
Cochlear implant is offered to those with profound hearing loss who meet the implantation criteria. A team composed of audiologists, speech/language pathologists, social workers, neuropsychologist, and otolaryngologists offers complete evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation services to children with severe to profound hearing loss. CI evaluation is performed with a collaborative and multidisciplinary effort to ensure not only the appropriate candidacy, but also the appropriate long-term follow-up and an appropriate educational environment for the patients.

Our team of audiologists, speech/language pathologists, social workers, mental health counselors and otolaryngologists combine their specialty knowledge to offer your child the best possible outcome for their condition.
Our team features fellowship-trained specialists who are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the head and neck in children. Our doctors have a broad range of experience and expertise in diagnosing and managing general cases, as well as more complex conditions.

Our doctors have a broad range of experience and expertise in diagnosing and managing general sinus cases, as well as more complex sinus conditions.

The Speech & Language Pathology Department provides evaluation, management and consultation for infants, children and adolescents with communication, learning, feeding and/or swallowing problems. Services provided include:
Swallow evaluation
Speech evaluation
Modified Barium Swallow study in conjunction with radiology
Speech therapy for various conditions such as speech and voice disorders, dysphagia
The Voice Center at BMSCH is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the larynx (voice box) in children. Our team of speech/language pathologists and otolaryngologists combine their specialty knowledge to offer your child the best possible outcome for his or her condition.
